What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel at least 48 hours in advance, we will happily refund your entire purchase. Any cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will have the deposit converted to credit that is valid for a future tour or rental.
Can I change my reservation?
Sure thing! Just give us a call if you need to change your reservation, and we can try to find a time that works for both of us.
What are the age restrictions?
Although we welcome all ages, there are some age restrictions regarding who can drive the vehicle and who must wear a helmet. Here is the breakdown based on the type of vehicle:
UTVs: Drivers must be 18 years of age or older (and have a valid driver’s license). Anyone under the age of 12 is required to wear a helmet.
Boats: Drivers must be 18 years of age or older (and have a valid driver’s license).
Snowmobiles: Drivers must be 16 years of age or older (and have a valid driver’s license). Everyone is required to wear a helmet.
What if I get lost while renting a snowmobile or UTV?
Although Montana’s many trails are well-marked, it still is possible to end up a bit off the beaten track! For this reason, each UTV is provided with a walkie talkie that communicates with one of our home base locations. For Snowmobile groups, maps are provided, and a walkie talkie. We highly recommend using a guide if inexperienced or unfamiliar with the area. If you do end up lost, we can send a member of our team to guide you back to home location.
What are the requirements for operating the vehicles?
All operators must have a valid driver’s license, but there are no further permits or licenses necessary! However, there are some age restrictions:
- To drive the snowmobiles, you must be 16 years of age or older.
- To drive the UTVs or boats, you must be 18 years of age or older.
Do I need to know how to drive a snowmobile or an UTV?
Nope! We have had many beginners rent from us, and we’re happy to give you a few pointers. If it’s your first time snowmobiling, we recommend the 2022 Polaris 550, which is well-suited to those who have never been on a sled before. First-time UTVers won’t have any trouble learning the ropes — but we offer a quick overview, just in case.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes, all participants must sign a waiver. A copy will be available during the booking process.

Snowmobile Rentals & Tours
Which snowmobile is best for me?
We offer three classes of vehicles to suit riders of every level. Check out the options below to see our selection of 1 and 2-person vehicles. If you’re not sure what kind of sled suits you best, read the summaries below to help you decide:
2022 POLARIS 550
The Polaris 550 is perfect for first-time snowmobilers. It offers a basic, fan-cooled ride that is user friendly and easy to control. You’ll have a blast soaring across the snowy terrain without worrying about how to handle the snowmobile! Please note: this is the only snowmobile that has room for two passengers..
2022 POLARIS 650
The Polaris 650 is better suited for intermediate riders. If you have snowmobiling experience but are still looking for a manageable ride, check out this sled! It can easily handle backcountry terrain, making it ideal for anyone planning to go off-terrain for a bit.
2022 Polaris/Skidoo 850
The Polaris/Skidoo 850 is a sled for the experts. If you’re an adrenaline junkie looking for the ultimate ride, look no further! This super strong snowmobile can propel you across the icy landscape with ease.
2022 Skidoo 850 Turbo
The Skidoo 850 Turbo is a sled for the high-end expert. This top-of-the-line sled is for the ultimate back country ride. You must be 25+ to rent and a $1000 deposit is required.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing warm layers and ski gear (if you have it). However, we rent everything (and we mean everything!) you could possibly need for the cold. So, don’t stress too much if your closet has more paisleys than parkas!
Can I book a private tour?
We only offer private tours, so you will be getting one-on-one attention from your guide on whatever experience you book.
Do I need to bring my own gear, or can I rent from you?
We have all necessary clothing available for rent! Show up wearing flip flops and shorts, and we’ll get you outfitted for 0-degree temperatures. We don’t recommend you do that, however. Try to dress warmly, and we can rent whatever gear you’re missing.
On the guided tours, can we rotate who gets to drive?
Absolutely, as long as both drivers meet the requirements (16 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license).
Do you offer backcountry guided tours?
Yes we do! Depending on your skill level, we can arrange a tour that goes off the marked trails. Please get in touch with us for more information.
